mds for field amputations
I may be wrong, but something in my memory tells me that YEARS ago,
Hermann LifeFlight, back when they were flying residents regularly, did that
sort of thing. I remember one flight when they went after a man caught in a
cement grinder.
they had to amputate part of a leg I believe to get him out, and they flew
out blood to him and such. You might check with them.
They don't routinely fly with residents any longer, but when they used to,
they may have had such experience.
Check with any of the programs that do fly with MDs. There are still some
around.
