At my program we have 2 OB nurse levels. 1. high risk- Nurses are RNC with several years experience in a high risk L&D that has a level 3 nursery. 2. moderate risk- adult/ ped RN's that havecompleted their initial training program that consists of approx. 12 weeks then go through approx 3 weeks OB specialty training with several clinical shifts in a high risk L&D.
