I cannot
imagine anyone I know at that program, from the Chief Flight Nurse to any
current or immediate past employees of Air Life or Air Methods writing anything
so incredibly stupid. Someone is
just trying to stir things up. No Chief
Flight Nurse I have ever worked with would ever make such a comment. Air
Life is a class organization with 99.5% classy folks. They have flown
safely and tirelessly for many years and the pilots absolutely don’t deserve
that kind of rap. The computation
of salary is bogus unless, of course, firemen only earn money fighting fires
and nurses only when starting I.V.s and such. That is clearly a hoax or someone
trying to be provocative. It is
pretty typical of a few idiots posting on Just
Helicopters. Just Helicopters would be a great forum if
they had to use their real names or register like this list server does. I doubt if most of the posts would be
made if the person posting had accountability. It’s always a good idea to use the guideline that you don’t
email or post anything that you wouldn’t do face-to-face. I believe that is
called Integrity and Texas Air
Life has that quality from top to bottom. -----Original
Message----- No, that is not the standard attitude among
flight crews. That tirade by the so-called "chief flight
nurse" was so moronic I suspect it is not even authentic. No
professional that I am aware of would make such idiotic comments and then
conclude it with their place of employment and phone number. I
suspect it's a hoax, written by a disgruntled ex-employee or perhaps a wanna-be
that couldn't get hired. In any event, I would rather pay a pilot
$196/flight hour than listen to a psychologist, for the same money,
ask "how do you feel" ten different ways. Pilots
are professionals and deserve "professional rates." It is ironic that after this person demands that
some pilots "Quit your f&cking whining..." he/she
then subjects us to their own tale of woe of how much they work. If
that wasn't whining I don't know what is. Each of us chooses our
career path. If you don't want to work those kinds of hours perhaps
a career change is in order. I would hope that the title of "chief flight
nurse" would be relieved from that person, if it's true. A
person with that attitude certainly doesn't deserve to lead anyone. Just my opinion... Eric E. Kincaid, Flight Paramedic Boise, ID USA |
