RE: Hot vs cold loading and unloading
At our company we stay hot for scene calls unless there is a protracted
scene time and fuel load may become an issue. We fly a BO105LS at my base
and with the high tail rotor have never found it to be a safety issue. All
things considered we feel it is better to stay hot, quicker off scene, less
chance of things breaking on scene (ie: bad igniter, generator, etc.), and
personnely I feel that I am more attentive to a/c safety when the blades are
spinning.

experience been with agencies feeling strongly one way or the other? What is
your preference? What are your EMS agencies' preferences and why?
