RE: Hot vs cold loading and unloading
I presently work for a ground critical care team, but just left the
full-time fire service this past January. We trained with our flight
service on doing both types of loads annually. My general observation
of the fire service/EMS community is "if they're bad enough, do whatever
you need to to get them out of here," i.e., highly-critical patients get
hot loaded and it works fine. From the operational side, it doesn't
really make a difference.

Subject: Hot vs cold loading and unloading
Trying to get a feel for the general consensus on how EMS agencies
respond to
the rotorwing staying hot or shutting down on scene calls. What has your
experience been with agencies feeling strongly one way or the other?
What is
your preference? What are your EMS agencies' preferences and why?
Thanks
