Dear David,
I for one am not sure where this is headed, but I can
assure you a two week course does not a Flight Nurse make, as they say!! All of
us in this field have put in several years at least, as well as extensive
training to even be hired in some of the larger programs.
I personally am not aware of a particular Flight Nurse class,
but maybe there is such a thing somewhere. In my opinion though, it takes time
with EMS, time in E.R., Adult and Pediatric ICU, CCU, Neuro, and certifications
in BTLS, ATLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, CFRN, CCRN, and FP-C, to name a
few.
Maybe I miss the point of your request, but I don't know of any
short cuts.

Subject: request for training programs in
upper midwest - help
Group..
I have a professional colleague who does training for nurses
and alot of it is abroad. She is looking at bringing some nurses from
Hong Kong for two weeks for some flight training and is looking for a course
if one is already available. Here is her request. I am not sure of
the time line and I would get you in touch with her personally via
email.
"I wonder if you can help me. My contacts in Hong Kong
want to send 3-4 nurses to MN to take a flight nurse class. I don't know
of any classes or course for flight nurse training in MN. Do you??
How about a class in WI, maybe Milwaukee or Madison? Do you know
anything about one in Kansas? I think it is two weeks long. Any
information you could give me would be most helpful."
I think she would be amendable to the upper
Midwest..
