Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring Questions

Hello all!

I have a few questions for everyone on the list who does invasive
hemodynamic monitoring in flight....

What percentage of your calls (transfers) would you say you actually
monitor an A-line in flight? What about PA caths? What is your percentage of
transfers as compared to scene calls?

For those who monitor invasive lines in flight in both rotor wing and
fixed wing settings, would you say that you do so more often in a helicopter
or fixed wing?

Also, for those flight crews who place A-lines themselves, what are
your indications for doing so? Would you place one in anyone you deem
hemodynamically unstable, or do you have more specific criteria? Do you
normally consult with a med control doc first?

I'm just looking for rough guesstimates on the percentages - nothing
necessarily "official". Just trying to satisfy my curiosity - thanks alot.
