In my opinion, you're headed in the right direction. You're accomplishing a lot in a short period of time. You just need to gain some time as a registered nurse. With a some time, you can gain some valuable experience. You're in the enviornment, no doubt; just need the time. Another thought would be to gain some preshospital education in way of your EMT, but preferably Paramedic. I'm not sure if you'll be able to fit into your schedule, but prehosptial experience would certainly make you a marketable prospect. You may want to rearrange your schedule to accomodate this.
As someone said recently, I would visit different flight programs, especially ones that you believe you would like to work for. Find out what their requirements for hire include. Use that template to guide your career in preparing to become a critical care transport nurse.
