Re: Higher Level

To clarify my answer, I was simply answering the question as to why some
places might regard RNs at a higher level (on paper) than medics...I never
said anything about abilities so please don't assume that I am. I work with
paramedics and have the highest regard for what they (you do)...we work as a
team with no reference to title...Also, as an FYI, the State of Florida
requires RNs (in the field) to hold, at least, an EMT cert....our program
requires us to also hold a medic cert. I am also a big believer that any RN
working in an emergency setting participate in a ride-along program so they
can get a taste for what goes on before the patient hits the ER..(most
don't). As per the original question from Jim, this has nothing to do with
"turf wars" so, why are you making it into one?
