Re: Paramedic to RN - RN to Paramedic

Jim,
I was a Flight Medic that completed their BSN and became an RN. Our program
allowed me to continue working as a Medic till I gained enough nursing
experience (4,000 hrs in ICU or ER). When a position for a Flight Nurse
opened, I was able to apply for that position. The program benefited from
having a Medic that was improving their knowledge and skills for better
patient care, and I was able to become a Flight Nurse after two years ICU
and ER experience, instead of the normal 3 years requirement.
