Paramedic to RN - RN to Paramedic

All,

I'm looking for information how most programs handle the 
issues regarding Flight Paramedic that attain RN and 
visa versa Flight Nurses that attain EMT-P. 

I learned this morning that it's policy to fire 
the "Flight Paramedic" who becomes an RN until said 
individual has at least 3 years nursing experience.
