RE: Turf battles



I agree that a paramedic could retain NICU theory.  I know we use EMT's and
Paramedics in our ER.  I don't have a clue what their duties are.  You're
probably right about the turf battles.  I would be surprised if they persist
through this nursing shortage.  
In reference to NICU transports, we couldn't use a paramedic instead of an
RN due to state law.  We wouldn't send a paramedic with a nurse, as we use
an RT.
