Re: stable neonate transports
Greetings all,
Just a quick question on the whole EMTALA thing- if a basic pt. is being
transferred from one hospital to another by 2 EMT's and the pt. condition
worsens then how is that supposed to be looked at when there isn't a nurse,
doctor or even a paramedic transporting the pt.? Just from what everyone is
saying seems that you can't take a pt. from one facility to another unless
you are maintaining the same level of care. Last time I checked there wasn't
a doctor on a basic ambulance. Just a thought about the "stability" of the
pt. and how things can always change.
