This fax can now be downloaded by those interested by going to the
Downloads area on FlightWeb and going to the 'Documents/Flightmed Files'
category, or by clicking on this link:

Here's a link to another page that discusses the shelf life of Sux at room
temperature in light of the shortage last year.
http://www.ashp.org/shortage/succ_rap.html
There's a mention below the NMBA comparison table that,
"Although package inserts for succinylcholine state that the product
is stable for 14 days at room temperature, there is evidence that
succinylcholine is stable for 4 weeks at room temperature and may be
stable for up to 3 months at room temperature. During this shortage,
ensure the stability of remaining stores of succinylcholine by keeping the
product refrigerated."
That section offers the references below to corroborate this statement. I
haven't read these, but perhaps someone with access to a good medical
library can find these references and share them with the rest of us.
* Dressman JB, Dutton DM, Poust RI. Shelf life of unrefrigerated
succinylcholine chloride injection. Am J Health-Syst Pharm. 1984;
41:300-302.

supplement. Bethesda, MD: American Society of Health-System Pharmacists;
