In West Virginia, our Flight Nurses are allowed to function as a Paramedic
in the field as long as they certified in ACLS, BTLS, PALS and have taken
the State Paramedic test. They are allowed to also function at the RN level
since they are technically working for the hospital, only in a expanded
setting.
