Re: Anectine storage

I know our neonate teams bring survanta in a little cooler that is specific
for survanta. It holds just a few bottles of the stuff, The holder is a
frozen iced pack, and then it all fits in a zippered foam pocket. I think
they got it free from the manufacturer.

I too would like to hear answers to this question. We take out a number of
drugs requiring refrigeration (including suxumethonium and higher cost
agents such as Survanta). We have been looking for a small DC-powered
refrigerator but find that those available are made for the camping market
and are mostly too large or intolerant of 'tipping' or difficult to
restrain. Ideally we would use a DC/AC refrigerator which would stay in our
ground and air vehicles permanently (pre-loaded with drugs).
If anyone has a solution, please speak up!

I would like to know if anyone has an onboard system to keep Anectine cool
and lenghten it's useful timespan in a helicopter. My program uses it for
RSI but has to throw out unused supply in aircraft after 2 weeks per label.
We keep extra inventory in refrig in hanger, but do not keep all there to
prevent "I forgot it".
