Depending on the situation most of our crew will
opt to intubate a patient either on scene or in the hospital if we deem it
necessary.. however occasionally if the setting is not right.. such as stepping
on the referring physicians toes we will opt to move the patient to the aircraft
and intubate them after we have lifted and have done so with success. We
have the luxury of flying in a BK-117 so space is not a huge
issue.
