RE: peds intubation-- where did I go wrong???
I have to echo the sentiments of others here and repeat the message to be
kind to yourself. It's refreshing to see these responses from a collective
group so infamous for "eating it's young". We have all been new at this at
one time or another and to have a bad day is common to us all, no matter how
long we've been in the field. As previously mentioned the important thing
is to recognize when you do and take the appropriate action to fix it...and
then DON'T beat yourself up over it. We've all had our share of sleepless
nights after a bad transport but remember we're all human and less than
perfect. Kudos to you for having the courage to seek help. One thing about
this profession, it will keep you humble! Good luck and remember you're a
great nurse so don't get down on yourself.

Have to agree with the previous responses! I always teach in ACLS, PALS,
etc
that missing the tube isn't a big deal it is the recognition that you
have
missed and taking the appropriate actions that is important. It is good
practice to review in your head what it is you saw, what you didn't see,
etc. But don't beat yourself up too bad
