We carry a digital camera and when we land at the accident site we do our best to get photos of the vehicle so we can show the trauma team the damage to vehicles. There is a TV monitor mounted in the trauma room and while the medical crew is transferring care to the ED staff the pilot plugs the camera in to the monitor and displays incident photos. Obviously we don't always have the opportunity to take photos and I certainly wouldn't delay care or transport to take a photo. I don't know if it makes any difference in the care that the patient receives but the ED staff appreciate seeing photos.
