Off the top of my head, I don't believe that any Florida EMS regs specifically address transportation requirements for peds one way or the other. For reasons including storage space and cost, it's an on-going challenge to assure that EMS providers can appropriately protect kids is such a way as to not compromise patient care *and* meet the same criteria that the general public is (supposed to be) obligated to.

I have a question. In Florida do you know of any laws that prohibit transporting peds on the mother's lap. Mom secured on stretcher holding child. Transport would be by ground or air. I see it happening alot here and it drives me nuts. It is obviously an unsafe manner in which to transport children.
