Re: Security since 911

I have seen several responses such as this one to the question posed by
Howard Collett regarding changes in security since 9/11.
Instead of brief, un-stimulating responses such as this one, can someone
suggest a way that changes in security measures can be discussed that won't
"compromise" the changes themselves? With all the flight programs in
existence, I can't imagine that each and every one of them could develop
complete security procedures from scratch. There are probably some general
security improvements that Mr. Collett could include in his article (for
example, you can read the newspapers daily for details on airport and
airline security improvements, but also know that there are measures being
taken that are not published - same as for the Olympics, Federal buildings,
etc.).
Mr. Collett also could have stated where his article was to be published.
Trade magazines like Aviation Week and Space Technology sometimes publish
articles on airline security. The public likes to hear that airlines are
becoming safer since 9/11, what's wrong with an article that states air
medical transport is safer and more secure, too?
Or the discussion could even be changed to "How do we share security measure
updates with others without compromising the safety of the program?" I
think this would be a better thread than one line posts of "Ditto!" and
"AGREE AS WELLL!!!!"
