1.  Tom said it, there is NO correlation between mission status and safety status...
2.  Subject to the above statement, I am yet to find a mission that is "non-justified" pre-departure.... If the ground staff call for air transport, in my opinion, and without deducting from their abilities and skills, they recognise the need for either higher care or a more suitable means of transport for the benefit of the patient...

3.  I am not sure whether we should be flattered by the attention, but surely there is significantly more statistical information available on "non-justified" car trips that end in disaster?
