This maybe the wrong arena to throw this out into, but here it go's . Here in the midwest ,aka Sioux City Ia. we are currently looking into increasing wages for the flight paramedics. I am contacting the surrounding fight services that employ paramedics, and work 12 hr. shifts for information on $ per hour rates for 3,5,and 10 yr. flight qualified paramedics. We are required to work in the ED when not on flights and must maintain current certifications in ACLS,CPR,NRP,PALS,and PHTLS.  Any information will be very useful when it comes time to present this to management.
Hopefully in the future Paramedics as a group will stand up for themselves, and demand the respect and  comparable wages for the skills and knowledge they have.
