Re: bi phasic defib
We are using biphasic defibrillation, and have been for the last year or so.
It seems to have worked exceptionally on the few that required the shocks in
our environment. There is so few studies, and I expect few cases to study,
in the pediatric realm. If you do have a case that requires biphasic,
pediatric defibrillation, please call an let Zoll (or somebody) know. It
will probably be years before we really know just how well it's going to
work in that age group. It's that classic catch 22; can't scientifically
prove it's worth without enough samples, but can't get enough samples.
