helmet vs. headset

I have recently committed to wearing a helmet although they are optional (but 
encouraged) in our program.  All the above gripes about helmets are certainly 
true...especially the terminal bad hair.  The bottom line is they just make 
sense.  Ed thanks for the extensive list of evidence.  Eric thanks for the 
tip on the Zetaliner.
