Re: helmet vs. headset



I have read both in the concern archives and at the
flightweb of several incidents of bird strikes.  In
those cases, if the crew member had not been wearing a
helmet with a visor, serious injury or death might
have occurred.  Perhaps there isn't proof out there
that it improves survivability in a crash situation,
but I sure want that extra protection...just in case!
Our program requires and provides helmets for all crew
members.
