Once again, Ed is the voice of reason on this issue! As safely and efficiently as possible must be our goal, not the seven minute lift-off, not the 5 minute lift-off. I had hoped we abandoned the "white knight", speed junkie philosophy that was a carry over from the Vietnma war, which, in my view, was a link in the accident chain that still plagues our industry. Hire the right people--those with the proper motivation--pay them a fair salary, then respect their judgement.
