Re: EMT-P to RN programs
Miami-Dade Community College in Miami, Florida had a transistional program
for EMT-P to RN. I know afe medics that have gone through it and I'll be
making my way through it hopefully starting August 2002 once I get afew
prereqs out of the way.
Miami-Dade requires the following before you can apply to the program and be
accepted:
ENC1101(English Comp)
PHI 2604(Humanities)
CHM1033 & 1033L (Chem)
BSC2085 & 2085L & 2086 & 2086L (A&P I/II)
HSC0001 (Intro to health care ) waived obviously if you're in health care
already.
Applicants also must pass the TABE test and the NET test to be accepted.
You can also contact the school of nursing at (305) 237-4101
