RE: altitude physiology relating to patient care

The Air Medical Crew National Standard Curriculum Text has a good section on Flight Phys. It is currently being revised but the first edition can be acquired through the AAMS website. I am working on developing Computer based training for some of the annual CAMTS requirements that crews can at their own pace on duty time.

Subject: altitude physiology relating to patient care

As part of our CAAMS recertification we need information about altitude physiology in patient care. We operate in the Chicago area, so we rarely fly above 2000 AGL, but the rquirement is still in place. We would greatly appreciate any information on this subject.

Thanks
