| St. Petersburg Junior College has even set more fabulous trends in bridge programs. They also take ex or current military medics such as Navy basic corpsman through Independent Duty Medics, Air Force Medical Service Craftsman and Independent Duty Medical Technicians and the Army Special Forces Medical Sergeants (also known as a 18Delta). They are the only one in the country to do that and it is a great program because they are the only one in the country to give military medics credit where credit is due. You may want to look at excepting these folks into your program as well because not only do they have emergency medical backgrounds but they have nursing, preventive medicine and other extensive clinical medicine backgrounds as well. Well, enough said... Good luck with your initiatives. Bob McCumsey MSgt, USAF NCOIC, Joint SOF Medical Education and Training US Special Operations Command Surgeons Office (813) 828-5043 |
