My 2 cents, direct and simple:

Theory A- Working in the hospital along side doctors and nurses might give
you a bit of a clinical/medical edge as part of an AMC.

Theory B- Working out-based along side your pilots and maintenance techs
might give you a bit of an aviation/CRM edge as part of an AMC.

Test A&B- Worst case scenario's applied to this comparison:

Result A- If your have a bad day clinically, your pt may die.
Result B- If you have a bad day aviation/CRM wise, you, your crew AND the pt
may die.

Conclusion- I'll put my extra eggs in the latter basket any day. So will my
wife and two kids.
