| When we are at our hospital base, we are expected to help out in the ER, ICU's, etc. as well as keep up with equipment and paperwork. When we are in the ER we do not take a patient assignment, without keeping one of the other staff informed about the pt. We also do not transport withing the facility by ourselves. When we get a call this allows us to leave without delay. I have never felt any animosity from the staff, when we leave.
