Re: looking deeper.



I too went to nursing school to be a flight nurse. At the time I was 18,
already an EMT, and thought it was a cool thing to do. After years in the
ED and becoming a paramedic I finally became a flight nurse. I then
realized I loved it for all different reasons. First is the autonomy.
Making critical decisions and using advanced practice to do this is a great
feeling. Especially when you right. The other factor is the acuity and
variety of patients, from neonates to adults, trauma, medical, cardiac,
bleeds and all the ones that nobody knows whats going on. With time Im sure
your expectations and reasons will change with your practice. Your right,
its not about the money, but happiness is a much richer reward....
