Re: 24hour shifts
I would find it useful to know how the Upstate Medical University been able to adopt scheduling guidelines so that none of the residents or on-call OR, anesthesia, or trauma staff are on duty for more than 12 hours. I know that many institutions have not been as successful in implementing such a structure, and hope that Dr. Thomson is willing to share their strategies for success.
