Given the heightened level of alert and responsibilities for physicians nationwide and the expressed concerns over travel by many members, Ken Williams, AMPA president, and the Board of Trustees of the Air Medical Physician Association have decided to postpone the Medical Director's preconference, general membership meeting, and the board meeting. These events, which were scheduled for this week's Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC), are to be rescheduled to the spring at the time of the Critical Care Transport Medicine Conference.
We at AMPA remain dedicated to the success of the AMTC in the future and our regards go out to those members and colleagues who are able to attend. Our feelings as an organization go out to all those directly affected by this past week's tragedy and hope that the coming weeks are a time for healing as we prepare for the future. We apologize for inconvenience to any persons involved in these events.
