While it has never been a written policy, it has been our practice that there be
72 hours between donation and the beginning of a shift. This was based on the
recomendation in the operational polices section of the Air Medical Crew
National Standard Curriculum. While that text is old this policy seems to
make a lot of sense to me and I have never felt a need to revise
it.
