Guys,

Hotmail is notorious for spam.  I don't even check that account except once or twice a month. Todays results?  40+ junk emails and only 4 messages from people I know.  My suggestion: 
*Obtain a new email account. 
*Give it only to your friends.  
*Do not use it to sign up for things on the web, or register software.  
*Obtain a new "free account" or use your hotmail account as your  "dummy" account 
  to be used only for signing up for things or registering downloads.  

This should dramatically cut down on junk email.  Some will filter through the firewalls of your new address occasionally but it will be less forthcoming.
