A friend of mine with a hotmail account has been hit
with a lot of items of that nature.  Unfortunately she
is new to the internet and this is a rather rude
introduction.  Complain to hotmail and perhaps your
provider.  My hotmail account is OK except for "debt
consolidation" e-mails 2-3 times weekly.

I did get spammed from a virus via a Duke University
account though.  Each e-mail was over 200 MB, so I
figured something was up and successfully blocked
future e-mails.  My computer is washed cleanly.
