Our program does transport high risk OB patients with the regular flight crew
(RN/medic). These don't seem to come up very often, I think we did 4 or 5
last year. We do not transport these patients if they are greater than 5cm
and having contractions. We fly a Bell 407 and delivery would be difficult
at best in the aircraft. We monitor FHT's every 5 minutes with a doppler
plugged into the com system and palpate contractions. Hope this helps.
