Well P.R., you beat me to the punch on the immediate diagnosis and
treatment statement. I should also point out that many programs out there do
chest tubes, central lines, surgical airways, etc. that do not fly physician
on the crew. Plus it doesn't take a physician to recognize a severe head
trauma, need for an airway or recognition that doing an interfacility that a
patient my need more invasive treatment than the sending facility is capapble
of giving.
