Re: A reply for Kenneth Conn

Kenneth,(et al)

I whole heartedly repeat the words of C. Vaughn.

>My only word of caution would be to understand the risks involved in
this profession and ask
>yourself, if you were put in a situation in which you did not feel
comfortable, would your pilot, partner, and
>company support an abort call. If not.....

This should be the first question you ask of ANY(Ground or Air) medical
transport provider. If they are offended by it or respond negatively,
KEEP WALKING. A responsible provider will be open to discuss your
concerns AND respond to any questions(Fact or rumor) regarding their
accident/incident record.

Also, I find no fault in "subscription services" per se. The pressures
placed on transport crews and services to accept inappropriate or unsafe
missions come from a variety of sources.

Every person involved in medical transportation must do their very best
to resist those pressures!
