Re: Droperidol vs Compazine



Speaking strickly based on personal preference, I like Compazine better 
than Droperidol.

The reason I say this is that I have seen two instances where 
administration of Droperidol caused Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome to 
develop within minutes. (Droperidol is extremely similar structurally to 
Haldol).

Compazine can cause EPS but it's much easier to treat than NMS.

Just my two-bits.
