Aircraft telemetry
I remember the days when medics used to send telemetry strips to base on
every patient they put on monitor. ( a la Johnny Gage and Roy Desoto) What a
pain for both sides.... It doesn't happen anymore because EMTs are now
trained to interpret the strips themselves and they do a good job of it. As
medical control -I would not want to be bombarded by a continuous flow of VS
and monitor strips. Let the flight crew sort thru the data and relay what
they think is important.
Just think - the airlines could really use this type of gizmo. It would relay
all the flight and control data from each plane to a "master pilot" on the
ground. That way they could use less experienced pilots for most flights. (
just kidding......)
