Protocol questions

The service I work for is going through some protocol revisions, and I
have several questions for the group:
Does anyone on the list operate under standing orders for
administration of phenergan or compazine? What indications must be present
for their use? If you carry both, how do you decide which to use?
Does anyone have standing orders for analgesic use in trauma patients?
If so, what do you use?
Regarding surgical airway insertion, what type of training do your
services require/offer before the nurses or medics are credentialed in skills
such as cricothyrotomy and chest tube insertions?
Finally, can anyone point me in the direction of an studies which have
looked at the success rates of RN/EMT-P teams in performing invasive
procedures such as central lines, chest tubes, and surgical airways?
       Thanks alot for the help.
