Flight Crew Salaries
Data gathering of salaries across the US
It is time once again to look at the monetary compensation that flight crew members receive for working in the Air Medical Industry. Specifically, I am looking for information on: 1)baseline licensing requirements/education degrees to obtain a flight nurse and flight paramedic or RRT position within your organization; 2)Are the FN's, EMT-P's, RRT's compensated hourly or are you a salaried employee? 3)If you are paid hourly, what is the "average" pay range for new flight crew members and experienced crew members? 4)Is there a salary difference for those members who are hired who have flight experience? 5)If you are a salaried employee, what is the "average" pay range for new flight crew members and experienced? 6)Is there a salary difference for those members who are hired who have flight experience? 7)Does an educational degree affect your salary? 8)What is your vacation compensation package? 9)Do you have "mandatory" vacation periods, e.g. every 6 months each flight crew member must take a week of vacation? 10)Does your sponsoring organization recognize flight crew members as advanced practitioners in their field? 11) If your organization recognizes flight crew members as advanced practitioners, are you compensated accordingly? That is, is your salary different from someone in your profession who may work in the ER or in an ICU setting. 12)Do you receive yearly increases in your salary? 13)If you do receive yearly increases in your salary, is it comenstruative with years of practice? -Clinical competency? -"Value Adding" to the sponsoring organization? -Cost of living? Some of these, none of these or other, please specify. 14)Please include the State that you are located, whether you are a rotor wing or fixed wing or both program, a hospital sponsored or privately sponsored program, a hospital based or remote located program, and flight crew configuration. 15)Other information that you feel may be of value to this study may be included.

Thank you for your time and effort in this study. Please send all responses and inquiries to: BF2RN@home.com
