prison landings

Hello all,

It seems that several years ago there was a prison uprising in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, which prompted Pennsylvania's AAMS chapter to rally the state's flight programs and plan for the next "event." The result was the "Consensus Document for the Air Medical Transport of Inmates in Pennsylvania." This document provides the foundation for my program's prison response, and includes details such as LZ setup, securing the corrections officer's firearms in the cabin, use of four point restraints for the patient, etc.

We are to NEVER land within prison walls, and for very many good reasons. That about sums it up.

If anyone in the group is interested in the remainder of the document, or its history, feel free to e-mail me. I happen to know one of the co-authors pretty well.
