Hi Cece,

To answer your question, we shipped all of the "heavy" equipment and instruments
and boxed supplies a month ago in a 40-foot sea container.

The Russians are responsible for certain items for the trip, and NSS was one of
them. They do have a supply of it, but as we found out last week, it is only in
glass bottles. Just one of those things that crops up on a trip like this...
Naturally, if we had know a month ago about the unavailability of bagged NSS in
Vladivostok we would have shipped cases of it in the sea container at
essentially no extra cost.

To take over bags of NSS as carry-on on Korean Airlines would be prohibitively
expensive. We plan on doing 20 surgeries while we are there so we will need,
potentially, quite a few 500cc or 1000cc bags.

Thanks for your input...

Mike
