Check with the folks at LifeFlight in Boise, ID. They have a fairly
rigourous fitness/agility test on a regular basis (not just new hires)
that includes running, carrying various weight packs and performing drug
calculations at the end of the test. Might be a little much for the
typical flight program, but they do a lot of mountain rescue, hiking long
distances to patients, etc.
