Re: Peds/Neo dedicated teams

David - greetings - at Univ Chicago, our transport team does neo/peds/big people - total transports 1,000/yr - more or guess 50% of transports are neo/Peds & 50% are big people trips - for ground transports: neo - flight RN & 2 paramedics with addtl neo training - occasionally neonatal NNP's also join us - peds grounds: triaged by FN before transport to determine acuity - configuration either FN & 2 paramedics (as above) or FN/flight doc (2-3'rd yr ER residents) - For flights: neo/peds - FN/flight doc as above - In house responsibilities: 12 hour shifts - 6hrs dedicated to ER & 6 hours for other flight duties - hope this helps & feel free to contact me for further info
Take care
