Re: CAMTS
Reply to DPHMICN regarding automatic events that could trigger withdrawing
accreditation? CAMTS does not withdraw accreditation without thorough
investigation by the Executive Board (officers) of infractions or written
complaints. The program is contacted and a report is generated back to the
full Board. Then the full Board would decide on a course of action (may or
may not require a monitoring visit) and vote. Certain blatant disregard for
safety or inappropriate patient care; not reporting changes or advertising
components of a program that have been added and not reported - in other
words not following CAMTS policies during the tenure of accreditation; not
meeting deadlines for reaccrediting - are some examples of why accreditation
may be withdrawn. Thank you, Eileen Frazer
